Kotaro looked at the small slip of paper the soldier had given him at the store. Liore. The first place for him to look for his sister. He put the small slip into his pocket and made his way into the town. It seemed like a peace full place, the people seemed friendly. He gave each one a friendly grin and a wave. A couple hello's. He stopped at a small restaurant for a quick bite to eat. "One large Turkey sandwich." He asked politely.

A young girl nodded, then rushed behind the counter to give the order to the cooks. Moments later the brown haired, blue eyed girl returned, holding a plate with the turkey sandwich. "Here you go, is there anything else you need?" She said with a smile. Her eyes darted about the newcomers body, gathering information with each glance.
"Are you looking for something?" Ana asked, noting the way he was dressed. "Because you don't look like you're here to stay..." she trailed off, remembering her manners. "Sorry, you can call me Ana, and welcome to Liore!"

Kotaro gave a slight nod in thanks and picked up the sandwich, taking a large bite of it and smiling. "If its no trouble, I would like some water." He asked as he finished half the sandwich. He was unconsciously studying her as he ate. He never meant too, it was just instinct.
He raised an eyebrow. "Actually yes. I'm looking for someone." He said with a smile. When she mentioned her name he tilted his head. "Ana.....nice name."

She nodded, returning with a cold glass of water, the ice cubes rattling as she set it on the table. "You're not another one of those state alchemists, are you?" Ana asked, somewhat worried that he was here to return her home, but she calmed upon hearing that he was indeed looking for someone. "Who are you looking for, if I might ask? Maybe I can help?"
Ana in no way meant to be rude to the stranger, but she couldn't help but be carried away by curiosity. So many strange people had been coming to Liore, each with strange history. Not to mention, she did know the whereabouts of most people within the town. "If I can't help you, maybe I can show you to Rose, she's nice, and might figure something out."

"Thank you." He smiled and took a large drink of the water. "No I'm no state alchemist. I'm just a store owner looking for someone he lost." He said finishing the sandwich. "Another please?" He asked putting the plate forward. "And the person I'm looking for is the girl in this picture." He said taking his locket and showing her the picture. "Her name is Lira. She's my sister."
He smiled. "I'm glad that you want to help. By the way, you wouldn't happen to know someone named Nesmine?"

"I don't know if I've seen anyone like her, or heard her name before, but if she did stop by here, she would definitely have stopped to see one of Cornello's 'blessings', everyone's obsessed with them here." Ana said with dread in her voice as she fetched another turkey sandwich for the traveler, only to return as fast as she came, filling in three other orders at the same time. "Maybe I could take you to see him." She smiled, recalling a few odd memories.
"Nesmine? Yes, I remember her. Is she still delusional? Or has she finally recalled those memories of hers? I'm assuming you met her if you know her by name. Quite the strange visitor, I'm not really sure what happened to her to make her that way. All I know is that she was stern with me not coming with her."

"I see, thanks anyway." He said pocketing the locket. "I've heard of Cornello. The priest of this town right?" He said eating half the sandwich in seconds. "These blessings might be interesting. He may even be able to give me some leads." He smiled. "If its no problem, I would be grateful if you took me to one."
"Yes, she came into my store." He said finishing the sandwich. He wanted another, but didn't want to waste time. "She seemed strange, but I didn't mind. She asked for a place to stay so I gave her my guest room in exchange for her working in my store."

"Thanks for taking care of her. I didn't know her that well, but when I found her, she was pretty close to loosing her life. I'm glad that you've helped her earn a safe place." She gave a large smile to the traveler. "Oh, and the blessing start in just a few minutes. I could take you there now if you're ready?" Ana asked, hoping to help this man find his sister. "What's your name if you don't mind me asking?" Ana inquired with a smile, hoping to make friends with the newcomer.

Kotaro nodded. "It was my pleasure. I wasn't going to send her out on the streets." He smiled. "I'm ready to go, when your ready I'll follow you there." He held out his hand. "My name is Kotaro. Pleased to meet you." He looked toward the temple, wondering what would transpire.

Ana smiled again, then began to lead Kotaro out of the inn, and headed straight for the town square. "Try to stay close, the townspeople tend to clutter, so it can be difficult trying to break through." She called out, trying to keep her voice above those who were crying out praises to the 'great father Cornello.
Eventually, where the crowd was thickest, Cornello's bald head could barely be made out from all the other hands and heads that were raised to the sky. "We'll have to wait until he's done, and then I can probably get his attention, so that you can talk to him. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find your sister."
Ana really wanted to help, but a part of her knew that Cornello was absolutely useless, and a fake. She remembered the flocks of birds she would find dead just outside the city, and all the reanimated people who 'left town'. But at this poing, anything could help, even the smallest hint.
(Ooc: We may have to borrow the cannon, or I'll just buy him from the shop.)

(OOC: whatever you believe is the best decision.)
Kotaro followed Ana through the crowd, doing his best to keep close to her. The people were really loyal to this priest. It was amazing what a religious figure could bring.
When they arrived, he could barely see the priest. Bald, a bit on the heavy side. Wearing robes. "He looks the part doesn't he?" He said putting his hands in his pockets. "I can wait till he's finished. Thanks for bringing me."

"Not a problem," Ana shouted so that her voice could be heard, "if you don't mind, I'll stick around until he's done. Generally he doesn't like to see strangers, but I'm sure if I'm with you, he'll listen to your request." She turned back to watch the show, as Cornello happily showed off, reviving dead pets, and changing water to wine.
'What a drag,' Ana thought. 'None of this is real, I just have to figure out a way to get closer and gather proper proof. Nobody's going to be happy when I bring him down, so it's got to be irrefutable.' She gave a long sigh as she thought to herself. 'Who am I kidding? There's no way I could safely bring him down. Might as well wait and see what happens.'
(Ooc: I think we'll just borrow him, I'm sure Kat and the others won't mind.)

"That's alchemy." Kotaro said quietly after seeing a few of the miracles. Water to wine you merely add the proper elements, and the dead animal revival is reanimation. But its strange. There's no equivalency." He said scratching his chin. "He doesn't carry wine elements with him, and the reanimation shouldn't bring them to life, just move them like a puppet." Something was up. "He's a hoax, using alchemy as miracles." He narrowed his eyes. He didn't like it.

Before Kotaro could speak up much more, Ana quickly put a well placed boot on Kotaro's foot, motioning for him to stay quiet. "Careful!" She said sharply, "talking like that could get you killed! Just watch, and keep your thoughts to yourself!" She relaxed, and continued to watch as the show droned on.
"People here see him as a savior, they'd get mad if they heard you saying that." She explained just high enough so that he could barely hear her speak. "Try not to get hurt while you're here, alright?"

Kotaro almost reacted to the boot to his foot with an elbow to the ribs, but he held back. He could control his instincts. Instead he groaned and listened. "I don't like this. He's fooling them all." He whispered. "And did you notice there's no equivalency?" He couldn't put his finger on it.
"Well, he has turned this desert into a thriving town, but still, this isn't right." He shook his head. "Don't worry about me, I can stay out of harms way."
