"I know you don't like it, I don't either. And I wouldn't be able to call myself an alchemist if I couldn't notice. And sorry about your foot." She murmured lowly to Kotaro to avoid alerting others to their conversation. "Still, I've been living here for a year, and I still haven't found any definite proof that would send this man out of town. If we're to find your sister, we've got to be careful, especially considering the fact that we're about to ask his help in finding her. Just let things be for now..." She continued, informing him of her deposition.
Although these 'miracles' had done quite a lot of good for the town, Ana had seen the repercussions first hand. Whatever was going to undo Cornello was going to come soon, and a part of her did not want to be around when it happened.

Kotaro sighed and shook his head. "After I get some info, I'll see if there is something I can do." He said looking at the priest. He couldn't see him clearly. There was something he had that could overpass the equivalency rule. He couldn't think of what though. "Thanks for the warning." He wondered how this would play out.

Ana nodded softly, trying to pinpoint another location for a better view. She could barely hear anything with all of the cheering and screaming in the background. "Good luck with that!" She answered, trying to let him know that he had been heard.
After a few moments, Cornello finished his rallying speech, and began to head back to his quarters. "Come on, let's go! Quick!" Ana gently tugged Kotaro's arm, leading him quickly through the crowd to speak one on one with Cornello. "Let's not loose him." Eventually she helped Kotaro catch up, and he came face to face with the large priest.

Kotaro smiled at her and nodded. She was interesting. A whole year and no openings for reveal. Still, she was helping him find his sister. Strange. He was finding people willing to help. It wasn't something he was used too.
After Cornello began to head back to his quarters, Kotaro felt himself yanked by Ana toward him. He quickly followed her till they were both facing the large man. Large in height, and stature. "Excuse, father Cornello, but I was wondering if you could help me." He said kindly.

Cornello
(Ooc: Okay, here's where I borrow Father Cornello)
The fat priest observed the man for a moment, before smiling. "Why of course! Anything I can do for my blessed sun children! God has a place for everyone in his heart, I maintain the same kind of heart for those in need. Now what is your request, dear child?" The guards approached Kotaro, only to be shrugged away, as the man assumed he could trust this newcomer to Liore.
Ana
The entire time the priest spoke, Ana hid a small twitch on her brow, sometimes even covering her face. She was grateful for all he'd given her, yet somehow she couldn't help but be fearful of the man. She even hated how he spoke, as she felt that each word was practiced aimlessly, and coated with lies. Nonetheless, there was a person in need, and she was willing to endure the fat man's droning speeches to help.

As Kotaro studied the priest, a lot of things came to mind. One was the way he spoke. They were fine words, but there was a hint of secresy to him. The way he spoke sounded so calm and kind, but the way he carried himself. He seemed very untrustworthy.
"Father Cornello, have you seen this girl at any time?" He asked presenting the locket. "She's my sister and I'm trying to find her. Her name is Lira."

Cornello
Cornello's face hardly changed, nor did he spend much time looking at the locket. Instead he continued with his finely chosen words. "Dear child, I am afraid I do not recognize the girl in the picture, perhaps you could come again tomorrow during my next town speech, and I can see what the sun god can do for you." He then gave another smile, and strolled away with the other guards, disappearing into his quarters.
Ana
Ana felt really bad upon hearing Cornello's words, she had dragged this poor man through all of the crowds and heat for nothing. "I'm really sorry, I thought he'd know something... we should probably head back to the inn, before we get heat strokes."
Sadly, she began to lead Kotaro back to the inn, the look of disappointment apparent on her face. "I was hoping that the fat man could be useful for once in his life..."

"I see." He said at Cornello's words. "Thank you for you time father." He said as the man left. Ana apologized and he shook his head. "Don't be, I'll find her soon." He said.
As Ana lead him to the inn he sighed. He had noticed something that jarred a memory. "He was useful. I noticed something, a ring on his right hand. A crimson color. It was glowing faintly."

"What would a crimson ring suggest?" Ana asked, curios, and somewhat excited to hear some kind of a breakthrough on her mental research. "I know the ring flashes every time he uses a transmutation, and that it's somehow linked to the color of light the transmutation creates, but that's all." She sighed as she retook note of those staying in the inn, and who needed what, keeping track so as not to aggravate the local customers while she had her conversation with Kotaro.

"Not really a crimson ring, but a crimson stone." He said. "The crimson elixer, the last element, the great disolver. All of these names given to the alchemists ultimate goal." He looked at her. "The philosiphers stone." A stretch, but it was the only way Cornello could get past the equivalency rule.

"I thought that was just a myth, a child's tale," Ana said, "however, it does make sense, considering the fact that he's not following the equivalent exchange rule... but there's no way it's real." She whispered in a low voice. "I've seen him bring flocks of birds to life, only to spot them dead just a few miles away. There's something more to this, and people who get too close end up missing. Please be careful, whatever you do." Ana mumbled softly, worry now consuming her face. She hardly knew Kotaro, but she did not want him to end up dead like so many others she'd seen.

"The stone can't be perfect then. But if it is a philosiphers stone, then it may lead to further discoveries." He said with a sigh. "Reanimation. He uses the birds like puppets till they reach the outskirts the cuts the strings." He shook his head. "If people disappear because of him I'm going to get involved."he said with narrowed eyes. "I'm not going to let others disappear because of him."

Ana sighed, hoping that the man standing in front of her wasn't going to vanish within the next few days. But if he really wanted to help, then she wasn't going to let him go it alone. "Do you need a room to stay in? I could arrange something for you, perhaps a place more safe to discuss plans" She whispered lowly, careful to make sure none of the customers heard her voice.
'He's got a larger heart than he knows, I'll just have to keep my eyes on him and make sure it doesn't get pierced.' Ana thought, remembering the corpse she had discovered just next to the inn, with a single piercing wound strait through his heart. It disturbed her to think that could be Kotaro's fate.

Kotaro looked at her. "I would appreciate it if I could stay." He said with a smile. "But I don't want to be a burden, and if something happens I don't want you to get in trouble because of what I do." He wondered why she was offering to help him. "Why are you helping me? We just met."

"Well, I know of a few rooms that are open, I'll pay..." She forced a smile to try and reassure Kotaro. "You're not a burden, don't worry. That's not a problem at all! Just let me handle this part, alright? I'm good at this." Ana said, carefully and skillfully imitating a cheerful voice. "If you really want to know... I'll tell you later, when we're not around public." She whispered, keeping her voice low, an art she had learned from a very young age. She then promptly gave Kotaro the keys and directions to his room, and sent him away.
Behind the piece of paper with the instructions was a second piece of paper, written on it were clear graceful words, 'People turn up dead, best keep quiet. I'll explain.'
