Kotaro walked aroun d the inn for 30 minutes, asking random people about the murder and showing Lira's picture. When he came back to Nesmine, he sat across from her and sighed. "The case is closed but there were sightings of someone matching Lira's description here. For 2 months." He said shaking his head. "If it was her, I missed her." He hit his head on the table. "All this way for another dead end."

Nesmine sighed, looking at her friend's sad face. "Don't worry about it, we're only two months off. We'll find her, so don't get too down. Maybe if we ask the people at the train station, we might find a closer lead." She said, trying to be encouraging. Seeing Kotaro this down made it hard to be her usual hyper self.
"And hey, we didn't come here for notin', I got to see my first snow! It's great! Maybe we should just relax for the night, and head out tomorrow, when things clear up a bit." She said, trying to take the best out of the day. She honestly hated being here, but if Nesmine could put a smile back on Kotaro's face, she'd do it.

Kotaro sighed and looked back up at her. "I finally got news of her location and i miss her by two months. I thought I had actually found her." He sighed. "Thanks for the pep talk, but I know you don't like it here Nesmine. Its not hard to see and I'm sorry." He shook his head. "We'll head back to Central after the storm outside lets up."

Nesmine's giddy smile faded as she saw that there was no hope in cheering up her friend in this frosty wasteland. "I'm sorry, I wish there was something I could do... I guess I'll wait in our room until it's time to go. No sense in waiting around these fat nincompoops." She mumbled as she began to head up the stairs, followed by several glares. "That's right! Ye heard me! You're all fat! Get a life!" She shouted as she disappeared behind the door of the room, chuckling at the looks of the fat men. Bored, and still drained from the trip, she curled up at the edge of the bed, hoping that the day would pass sooner.

Kotaro sighed and hit his head on the table again. Now he had saddened her when she had tried to cheer him up. Why would he do that? He shook his head and contemplated going to say sorry when he overheard a man call her a rather unpleasant word. He stood up and walked over to the man's table. Once he reached it he kicked the mas chair from under him and slammed his head on the table. "Don't talk about her that way." He said coldly before releasing the man and walking upstairs toward the room. "Once he reached it he opened the door and headed to the bathroom. "I'm going to take a shower."

Nesmine hardly raised her head, letting her strange eyes glow at him. "Okay, you go do that. Oh!" She suddenly shouted, as if recalling something, and sat straight up to show importance. "Don't forget to shut the door! People laugh when you leave it open... it's scary..." She then recoiled herself, and smiled contently, completely unaware of the odd way the sentence came out.
Moments later, her eyes shut again, and she fell asleep, hoping to let the bore of the day pass while she rested. It was as if the entire world was sleeping, to have let the day pass so boorishly.

Kotaro gave a slight smile and shut the door. He took a quick shower and came out to see Nesmine asleep on the edge of the bed. Kotaro smiled and draped the blanket over her again. "Good night." He said softly before sitting down on the chair and falling asleep.

The next morning, Kotaro was probably rudely awakened, as the temperature in the room had dropped severely. The window was wide open, curtains flailing in the wind, and Nesmine was nowhere to be seen. The only sign that Nesmine had not meant to leave was her abandoned mace, left at the foot of the bed. Nearby, the rotten mutilated carcass of a man lie face down in the snow, the perpetrator having left it in a hurry.
Moments away, fighting could be heard as Nesmine struggled with her odd opponent. She had awakened to a thud noise outside, and ended up being pulled straight from the windows to the cold outside to fight with the newcomer. Apparently, the girl didn't want to be seen while she played with her kill.
"Why are you here? Why did you kill that man? What the hell do you want?!" Nesmine chocked, massaging her strangled neck. She wasn't graced with an answer as the assassin climbed up the walls of a nearby grocery store, and sat on the roof. Despite Nesmine's strength, she was easily outmatched against the well trained assassin. Elanorah returned a cruel smile, jumping off the roof, and lunging at Nesmine, hoping to slit her throat.
Afraid for her life, Nesmine let out a shout, hoping to wake Kotaro, as she had a really bad feeling that she wouldn't be able to keep the criminal at bay for much longer. 'He better get his but out here... or I'm fresh meat.' She thought as she barely dodged another blow from Elanorah.

Kotaro wasn't awakened through the cold or by any dreams. In fact, it was a pleasant sleep for him. No crazy dreams or flashbacks and no loud noises to jerk him out of it. At least not at first. The scream was enough to wake him and more.
He was jerked awake by Nesmine's scream, almost instantly standing and causing the chair to fall backwards. "Nesmine!?" He said confused and scared at the same time. The bed was empty, the window open, Nesmine's mace next to it. Also, a carcass next to the bed. He deduced, she was in trouble. Without a second thought, he ran toward the window and jumped out, soaring through the air and landing on his feet with a crouch.
He looked up to see two figures fighting ahead of him. One he recognized as Nesmine, the other which she was fighting, he guessed was the assailant. He slammed his hand on the floor, the transmutation circle glowing as he transmuted a long stone fist towards the struggling fighters. "Nesmine! Watch it!"

(Ooc: Sorry, I probably didn't word that right, but the body is outside in the snow.)
Nesmine
Nesmine was relieved to hear Kotaro's voice, and quickly fell face down into the snow to dodge the incoming rock that zoomed overhead. 'Thank god...' She thought to herself, something she'd never fully admit to him, but she was grateful that he'd come in time. The assassin she had been fighting for the past few minutes kept transmuting her mechanical arm, changing it from a saw to many sharp knives. If she was any slower, she would have been gutted on the spot.
Elanorah
This had been irritating, she'd been interrupted during her kill, and what's more, her new prey was avoiding her blows. Now it had the will to call for help, alerting a friend, as well as many of the residing towns people. A few stayed to watch, rooted to the ground in fear, others ran to alert security. There was going to be a lot of blood necessary to get out of this one alive.
"Hungh!" Came the shocked response as the rock pelted her chest, but she simply brushed it away. "Not your problem, go away!" She managed to shout, now kicking Nesmine as she lay giggling on the ground. "Leave before death!" She exclaimed, hoping to scare away this new intruder on her plans.

Kotaro had already started running toward the two when he was told it wasn't his business. "Like hell it isn't!" He said transmuting his metal ball into his staff. He reached her just as Nesmine was kicked and slammed the staff down toward her. "If you try to hurt her I'll make you pay!"

Nesmine
Now given the chance, she quickly ducked away from Elanora's kicks, and backed up, running towards Kotaro in sloppy strides. Generally it was her business fighting her problems, but this one was too much, and she didn't have her coat on. "That b#@$h is-ss crazy man! I was-ss jus-s-st lookin' out the window, and she pulled me out, and we s-started brawlin! This is-s nuts! Can I at leas-st get a decent coat on? Geez!" She ranted angrily, her fingers going blue from the cold. Nesmine hated cold weather, and was happy that after they handled the manic creep they would get to leave the forsaken wasteland behind.
Elanorah
The dark assassin watched Nesmine scamper away, noticing Kotaro's aggressive stance. "You stay, sodon follow if you's get the girl back. Die, if you come any closer." She said, emphasizing what mattered to her. This was irritating, and quite the interruption, but there was no philosophers stone to win here. Her time was running out, any longer and the place would be crawling with police. Not to mention, she could see 'them' approaching.
It was hard for her to understand why others didn't run at the sight of 'them', but she knew she had to leave now. She backed away slowly, making certain that Kotaro didn't mean to follow, and kept looking from side to side as if watching others nearby.
"You jus-st gonna let her go?" Came Nesmine's shivering voice as she watched the assassin slowly back away.
(Ooc: Just so you know, Elanorah's psychotic, and has a small case of schizophrenia. The things dubbed as 'them' are just her dilusions.)

Kotaro watched Elanorah leave and nodded. "Just go and you'll be fine, I won't follow." He looked at Nesmine. "We won't follow.' He said with a meaningful stare. "She's done Nesmine. Just let her go and lets get you checked out." He said removing his coat and handing it to her. "Here." He said making sure Elanorah was leaving.

Nesmine
Nesmine shivered, but pushed his coat away. "I'm fine, really. Let's-s just get back to the inn. Can't believe you're actually gonna let her g-go, but f-fine with me." She mumbled, disappointed that she couldn't apprehend the lady and bring her into custody, or just kill her. Nesmine knew without a doubt that there was something seriously wrong with that woman, something that made her just worse than your average killer. Nonetheless, she quickly marched back to the inn, secretly afraid that the lady might come back for the two of them. "So are you coming or whut?" Nesmine called out, hoping that Kotaro would get back inside as soon as possible.
Elanorah
Nodding at Kotaro's words, the assassin quickly turned to the alleyway and disappeared into the shadows. There was no tolerance for failure, the two would have to be dealt with soon. Despite having another failure on her consciousness, she was content with the fact that she had escaped the unplanned confrontation without much harm. The police were now scattered about the city, trying to catch the assailant, but there would be no need to fear them. They just weren't trained enough to spot the assassin in the growing blizzard.

Kotarosighed and put the coat back on. "Nesmine, you can't just kill someone. Its not right. Everyone has a reason to live and the right." He followed her into the inn. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner. I should have heard it when she grabbed you." He sighed. "You could have been seriously hurt and i was just asleep."
