Nesmine watched Kotaro cook, and upon hearing the knifes price she withdrew the twenty dollars she just received and handed it to him. "I'll buy it for $20, I don't like to take freebies. But thanks though." She said with a smile. She continued to flick the knife around, toying with it and dancing it around. "Is this one an antique? Because it has a certain feeling to it that says it's got a history, if you know what I mean. Do you know where it came from?" Nessie asked, still thoroughly entertained.

Kotaro shook his head. "Just take it. You just got that money and I don't want to take it back already." He said as the rice finished. He then finished frying in the wok and placed it over the rice. "Could you take this to the table?" He said handing her the wok. "And I got that knife from a Xingese salesman. I don't know much about its past."

"Hmn, interesting... and don't worry 'bout taking money from me, it's a purchase for good merchandise. Besides, there's not much I need money for." She mumbled as she slipped the knife into her pocket, and helped Kotaro with setting the table. She happily grabbed the sides of the wok without gloves of any sort, and brought it to the table, unaffected by the hot metal she had grabbed. "Anything else you need? Or are we done?" Nessie asked, yet she had remembered the importance of plates and silverware, and began to pull them out of their hiding places in the pantry and cupboards.

Kotaro was about to ask her to get plates for the table, but noticed she was already on it. "Thanks for setting the table." He said getting the chair for her. "Go ahead and start eating, I'm going to fix the door. Its squeaking." He said walking over to the front door.

"Not a problem!" Nesmine whistled, seemingly more cheerful than usual. Still, who couldn't be happy, this was free food! "You know that saying that goes 'there's always room for desert'? I think it should go more like 'there's always room for free food'. Oh, squeaky door? Good luck with that." She said through muffled words, as she was already cramming it full with food. "Why'd it get squeaky? Is there a mouse in it?" She asked, hopping to add a new friend to her collection.

Kotaro opened the door and heard a squeeking song. "No, just needs oiled." He said taking a small oil tipper and using it on the hinges. He closed it and there was no squeek. "There, good as new." He said returning the kitchen and sitting down, making himself a plate. He chuckled. "Eat your fill, there's plenty left." He said beggining to eat.

Nesmine had already finished her plate, and had now turned her attention to the mouse, giving it pieces of corn from her plate. She seemed absolutely fascinated by the way it ate. "I knew someone that ate like that, she was always looking over her shoulder. It was funny to watch, now I know why." She mumbled, still stuck in the trance.
"I don't know why she always looked over her shoulder, I promised I'd protect her..." Nesmine mumbled again, her eyes seemed dark, and even sad.

Kotaro looked at her with interest. She had suddenly become so sullen, so down. Something had emerged that wasn't good ground to tread on. But he couldn't help but wonder what had caused this mood. "I'm sorry to ask, but who was your friend?" He asked. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want too though."

"Hmn?" She asked, as if being awoken from a deep sleep. "Friend? I don't have any friends... well, except you, Whistler, Squiggly, and that strange girl at the inn. Yeah, she ate funny, that's all. Did I say something funny?" Nesmine said, as if she had no recollection of what she just said. Something somehow must be separating her mind into two different worlds that no longer exist, reaching an almost dual personality trait.

Kotaro tilted his head in confusion, but shrugged it away. "Never mind." He said finishing his plate. "That girl at the inn, what was she like?" He asked reffiling his plate. "She sounds like she helped you through some tough times. Did she have a name?" He said eating some more.

"She was some kid at the inn in Liore, called herself 'Ana'. You know her?" Nessie asked while letting the mouse run along her arms, keeping it away from the ground. "She told me she had been working there for a year or so under Cornello, that it was her job to help others that came. She's the same person that gave me vocab lessons." Responded Nesmine, with another mouth full of food.

"Ana, no I never met her." He said finishing yet another plate. It didn't matter what he looked like, he could eat a ton. "Cornell? The priest in Lior??" He had heard about him. "I wonder what she could be learning from him." He said restocking his plate. "I would like to meet her one day. Maybe she's seen my sister."

"Maybe, though she seemed pretty fidgety. I wouldn't check for her in Liore unless you suspected that your sister was in danger. Ana spoke like she suspected Cornello of something really bad." Nesmine sighed as she finished her sentence. "Not that I wouldn't go there to rescue her, I just think that the town's too quiet for her to be there."

Misturu pulled his cloak high over his head as he approached the weapons store. The cloak cast an unearthly shadow over his face, covering the tattoos on his left face. The young assassin had recently been in a fight. The new scar his face now had showed that. Blood still drizzled down the cut. His dragon sword had taken damage as well. The tip was bent slightly and needed repairing. His red eyes were slanted as he saw the yellow lights gleaming down from the big windows. A light rain had started and his boots squeaked on the pavement as he wandered up to the door.
Slowly he opened it, a frown upon his face. He walked with a slight limp, and light flooded through as he yanked the door open. Inside were two people. One he recognized as the shopkeeper, and the other? Who knows, he didn't care. His eyes widened a bit and light reflected on the blood-shot redness. Weapons hung off of the walls. Some were new, others old, a few repairs were needed as well to a couple. He walked up to the desk, his limp pronounced, and his cloak billowed behind him revealing the tip of a blood-soaked sword underneath the cloth.

"I planned to head to Lior one day. Maybe it should be where I head first. One of the sources do lead there. Another source is in West city. The last one is in the North." He said finishing his last plate. He sighed. "Had to go look somewhere first. Besides, if Ana is there maybe she could help."
Saying that, he stood up and placed the plate in the kitchen sink before noticing another had entered his store. "Be right back." He told Nesmine before going to greet him. As he got closer his eyesfell on the blood soaked sword. "May I help you."
