Official Name: Yubie Ai (Meaning graceful love, I could be way off, I don't know Japanese.)
Nicknames: Yubie
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Race: Amestrian/Xingese (I know the Xingese are more Chinese, but I don't know of a Japanese place in FMA.)
Working Status: Not working, although she does teach Nesmine words and numbers, so I guess that's considered a tutor.
Alignment: Good (Mostly)
Appearance: Yubie is exceptionally pale, and has long black hair that she tends to use to cover her face. She has onyx eyes and a small nose, with no other marks whatsoever on her face (no freckles or beauty marks). Yubie stands about 4'3" and weights 75 lbs.
Defining Features/ Disabilities: Yubie has no broken bones, scars, or any wounds at all. She's practically scratch-less, as she's really careful, and rarely ventures outside of her home until Kotaro and Nesmine pay her a visit.
Goals/Ambitions: Yubie wants to find a home, or a place where she can live without being hurt or screamed at. Because Kotaro became her adopted father, she plans to help find his sister, and bring them all to a home where they can live in peace.
History: Yubie is the second born child to a rich family that aided in the founding of a small town nearby a train stop that flourished for many years due to the increased need in inns and stores for travelers to the north (during the northern war). They lived happily until Yubie was the age of seven, where she was abandoned by her father because of her slow development verses her brother, who despite being mute showed prominent skills in business. Yubie was allowed to live in the mansion as an outcast, confided to her room for most of the day, and allowed to sneak around at night. To her father, Yubie was allowed to exist there as long as he never had to see or hear her.
Unknown to Yubie or her father, her mother had been suffering from a very high level of psychosis, and during Yubie's eighth year, she finally succumbed to the madness within her, and resumed her human transmutation studies from when she was an officer in the military (Yubie's mother was utilizing tools and research from the military to learn of human transmutation until she was expelled for her experiments). She murdered Yubie's ex-father, attempting to transmute him into a puppet nearby, only to fail. Yubie's mother tried the practice on three others, again failing, and earning the town many ghost stories and legends that the military began to investigate.
With her supplies and patience running out, she finally took Yubie's mute brother, and sealed him into a large stuffed bunny rabbit that she had been toying with for this exact purpose. One could almost expect that she had wanted the final creation to survive, as she had created the seal on a thick piece of steel on the roof of the bunny's mouth, as well as added a large pair of fangs just in front of the seal. The bunny was discarded, as the mother had assumed that the transmutation had failed, as it remained motionless even after the job was finished. The process however, was not a failure, and the brother's soul was sealed within the bunny to be found by his sister after her mother was carted away by military officials.
Yubie's mother never got to hear that she had finally been successful, as she had been publicly executed by the military for her crimes against humanity. Yubie was left alone in the house, with a mad brother, and nothing more. The officers saw her as the legal owner of the house, as she was the only living relative that could inherit the property. Because of her mothers actions, the town quickly lost popularity, and it became a ghost town, leaving Yubie a very shunned resident of her home. Several villagers assumed that nobody lived in the mansion anymore, as there were few signs that indicated that Yubie was alive at all.
Almost an entire year passed, and Yubie lived alone, taking care of herself the best she could, unable to leave for Central, or any other large city for help, as her brother Ikozu kept her in the house. He didn't want her to leave, and had to follow her every time they went shopping. Quite often, when Ikozu got the chance to sneak up on people that harmed Yubie, he would kill them, usually by using his fangs to latch on, then expanding the elastic and cotton until his body swelled large enough to consume and suffocate their entire body. Yubie was often helpless to stop these murders, and feared that if she interfered too much, Ikozu would later kill her as well.
Becoming sick of living in the house alone, and slowly going mad, Yubie often considered taking her own life. There suddenly was a lot of commotion around her house, as one of the Central bound trains had a massive accident, wrecking the front of the train, and leaving a lot of passengers waiting. The inn of the village filled quickly, so people began to direct the rest of the stuck train members to the mansion, as it had been forgotten that anyone lived there at all.
Because of the incident, she met Kotaro, and the crazed Nesmine (who at the time was dragging Kotaro up and down the stairs to find a good room), and thought up a quick plan to try and get Kotaro to stay, as he seemed to be the most forgiving of the passengers. Her plan worked, as she used Ikozu to threaten Kotaro and Nesmine until they surrendered, and she earned a father. However, her plan went sour after Nesmine had captured Ikozu, and it turned out that Ikozu planned to kill Nesmine even after the deal. Yubie was then helped into destroying the seal that held her brother there, and then adopted and taken to live in Central.
(For more history, feel free to read up on 'Homeward Bound' in the Speed Rp section, as it further details her meeting with Nesmine and Kotaro.)
Personality: Yubie is quite kind to those she is fond of, although she'll often playfully tease the more arrogant members of her new family (Nesmine). She's been known to act morbidly, as she views others sorrow as a reason to keep going (if other people can live through tragedy, then she can as well), and often tells people of dark stories, with little reaction on her part. Yubie is rather loving, and feels quite guilty for her past, though she sees few ways that she can fix her wrongs, and so she tries to view the past as an old object that can't be altered, giving her a better chance to start new in her life.
Weapons and Tools: Yubie doesn't have any tools or weapons at the moment, and doesn't know any fighting styles.
Friends/Family: Yubie used to have a brother, mother, and father, but after her mother's craze, she was left an orphan alone in the mansion, with a crazed brother to watch (who had become a giant stuffed bunny). When Kotaro and Nesmine visited, they helped her slay what was left of her mad brother's soul, and Kotaro adopted her, becoming her new father. Despite Nesmine having not spoken up on the situation, Yubie views Nesmine as a crazy aunt.
RP Sample: Yubie had finished packing, it was time to leave the old house of oak and pine. The nostalgia was making her sick inside as she wondered where Ikozu had gone to, he usually followed her about, but this time he had been gone for so long she had a chance to escape and start a new life. She sneaked outside, only to come face to face with the deformed pink stuffed rabbit.
Ikozu cocked his head to the side, and Yubie knew that he understood what she was trying to do. "I'm leaving, you can't make me stay anymore." She said, hoping that he wouldn't become enraged. "You know I can't live like this, I'll die." She said, taking a few more steps outside. Ikozu didn't follow, but instead began to crawl towards the town, his mouth hanging open.
"Where are you going? You can come with me if you like?" Yubie offered, hoping that her brother didn't mean what she assumed he was about to do. Ikozu ignored her, moving faster towards the town. "You're not planning to hurt them are you?" Yubie asked, now very afraid. Ikozu wasn't large, or too fast, but he'd killed before. "Please don't do this... I'll stay." Yubie said, tears streaming down her face.
Ikozu stopped, and turned back, watching her put her things back in the house. He re-entered the house with his sister, happy to keep her contained within the walls of the old mansion. "Just please stop hurting people." Yubie begged, putting her things back where they belonged. She felt as if she was doomed to die in this place, as there were no escapes that her brother didn't constantly watch. She needed a hero to come, like those in the princess stories, but Yubie knew that no such hero would ever come for her.
Additional Information: It is not exactly known why the mother decided to place the souls in her daughters toys, as she had gone completely mad and incoherent by the time the military arrested her. It is suspected that putting the souls in the toys gave Yubie's mother a strange sense of control in her experiments, as she was generally unstable and not confident. Yubie has suffered a small ptsd issue, as she's been stuck alone in the house for so long. Sometimes she believes she still hears her mother's voice, complaining to her at night. Other times, she believes she hears Ikozu talk to her, despite the fact that he has always been mute.
